Everything Fun to Do in Denver This Weekend

Denver Restaurant Week is here.

Some annual favorites are making a comeback this weekend, including the Friday Night Bazaar where you can enjoy an outdoor market complete with cocktails while you peruse the goods. It’s also the kickoff of both Denver Restaurant Week and Dining Out for Life, so get those reservations on the books if you haven’t yet, ‘cause this year you can get great deals while also donating to a great cause. There’s also whiskey and live music and BBQ awaiting, so forget about that spring snow and let’s do this weekend right.

Whether you opt for old favorites or use this week long celebration of the local dining scene as an excuse to try a new spot, you should definitely be taking advantage of Restaurant Week deals as often as possible. Some standout options: three courses (get the spicy pork ramen entree) for $25 per person from Ace Eat Serve, four courses of Italian from the recently reopened Coperta for $35, and a lobster roll, fries, clam chowder, and dessert from Maine Shack for $35.

In the past, participating restaurants during Dining Out for Life would make a donation to Project Angel Heart based on a percentage of their sales during that week. This year, you’re asked to support both Project Angel Heart and your favorite local eateries. This annual fundraiser has teamed up with Denver Restaurant Week, with both events happening at the same time. Check out with Dining Out for Life restaurants are also offering Denver restaurant Week deals, then look for ways to give a gift to Dining Out for Life at checkout.

Go to a backyard BBQ whiskey tasting

Dairy Block Alley
Seven Grand at Dairy Block is hosting Garrison Brothers Whiskey & BBQ Society for a special event where you’ll get to sip your way through a lineup of Texas whiskeys. And since you can’t drink on an empty stomach, they’ll also be serving up a menu of BBQ classics including beef brisket, pulled pork, sausage, apple coleslaw, beans, mac & cheese and rolls, all included in the ticket price.
Cost: $45 per person

Take a free couples dance class

The Maven
Arthur Murray Center dance instructors are heading to Dairy Block for two dance lesson sessions for couples. You’ll cover swing, rumba, and more in each 30 minute session. It won’t cost ya, but you have to register ahead of time because space is limited.

Try some new cocktails and see live music

Poka Lola Social Club
Spring cocktails have arrived at this Dairy Block bar and you can sip your way through new additions like the Ps I Love You with vanilla infused Family Jones Vodka while enjoying live music from 6-9pm. This Saturday’s featured musician is acoustic folk duo Andy Babb & Lara Elle Music.
