Fun Things to Do in Denver This Weekend
Monster Truck Jam, anyone?

It’s a special weekend when Monster Jam comes to town, made even more special by the fact that we get a Friday the 13th. Not into giant, roaring trucks? Never fear, the Pancakes & Booze Art Show is here, as is the Wu-Tang Experience with the Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks. And a beer fest, and a food & wine fest, and a glow party. But come on; you know you want to hit up Monster Jam.
Rev up your appetite for Cherry Creek North Food & Wine
Friday - Saturday
Cherry Creek
Eat and drink your way through Cherry Creek at a slew of unique tastings and sippings happening all weekend long. Highlights include a margarita class at Sol, oyster shucking at Blue Island, and a Saturday night Grand Tasting session where you can experience it all. Bonus: Ticket sales benefit Food for Thought, a nonprofit fighting student hunger.
Cost: From $45
Hit Red Rocks for hip hop royalty
Friday, 7:30 pm
Morrison
Wu-Tang Clan with the Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks. Do we need to say anything more than that? Oh, and OutKast’s Big Boi and DJ Chris Karns will be there too. This is the Friday the 13th we need in 2021.
Cost: From $69.95
Drink up at the Belleview Station Beer Fest
Saturday, 3 - 7 pm
DTC
Is it even a Colorado summer weekend if you don’t go to a beer fest? This one is at the Belleview Station Dog Park, and it features all-you-can-drink samples from more than 20 local breweries and distilleries, an 80’s dance party, lawn games, and a DIY pretzel necklace making station.
Cost: From $40
Glow at this costume party/drag show
Saturday, 5 pm
Capitol Hill
What do you get when you combine a drag show, fabulous costumes, fun music, and go-go dancers? You get Ready Set Glow at Colfax’s XBar, a '60s meets the '80s costume party that’s sure to inspire stories for your Sunday brunch.
Cost: $15
Clear your schedule for Monster Jam
Friday - Sunday
Downtown
There are not one, not two, not even three, but four opportunities to witness the rowdy action that is Monster Jam this weekend. It all goes down at Ball Arena, and there’s even a pre-show pit party where you can get up close and personal with your favorite truck. Grave Digger will be there, and so should you.
Cost: From $20
Get down with these free dance classes
Sunday, 5:30 and 6:30 pm
LoDo
You just never know when the fate of the world will depend on your ability to rumba. Be prepared by taking a free Arthur Murray couples dance class in The Maven’s Windsor event space at Dairy Block. Dance pros will have you swinging and rumbaing up a storm.

Combine all your passions at the Pancakes & Booze Art Show
Saturday, 8 pm - 1 am
Five Points
If you love art, pancakes, booze, and body painting, then boy, do we have the event for you! Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom will be the setting for the Pancakes & Booze Art Show, which promises all-you-can-eat pancakes alongside creative masterpieces from more than 100 local artists.

Friday - Sunday
Broadway
There may be no other day when we need an umbrella drink more than on Sundays. Only mai tais and piña coladas can ward off the Sunday Scaries, and as of this Sunday, Adrift will finally be open when we need them most. Also, it’s officially painkiller week at Adrift, which 1) is a real thing, and 2) means there are two options on special for this rum-tastic cocktail.
