Everything Fun to Do in Denver This Weekend
From Cinco de Mayo celebrations to Kentucky Derby watch parties, these are your must-hit weekend plans.

Dust off your derby attire, pick up flowers for mom, and pace yourself with all the mint juleps and margaritas you’ll be drinking this weekend. Denver will be jam-packed with celebrations, what with the Kentucky Derby, Mother’s Day, and Cinco de Mayo happenings taking over the town. But there’s also free Shakespeare in the park, another new bar opening, a music festival, and a spring market. Here, where to have the most fun in Denver all weekend long.
Decorate your hats, y’all—it’s Derby Day
Saturday, 1 pm
Denver
Kentucky Derby parties are raging all over town Saturday, from the original Denver Derby Party at McGregor Square with brunch and all-you-can-drink mint juleps to free soirees at Number Thirty Eight and Three Saints Revival. Dress to impress and enjoy the greatest two minutes in sports.

Keep the Cinco de Mayo party going all weekend long
Saturday - Sunday, 10 am - 8 pm
Civic Center Park
There are so many cool things happening at the Denver Cinco de Mayo celebration—Chihuahua races! A taco eating contest! Lowrider car show!—that you may not know where to start. Whenever you go, you’re bound to find great music, dancing, food, and, hopefully, some tiny dogs running as fast as their little legs will take them.
Cost: Free entry
Friday - Sunday, 12 - 10 pm
Aurora
East side of towners will want to know about Sky Bar, the 28-seat cocktail bar and lounge that debuted this week inside the Stanley Marketplace. Besides the killer drinks, you’ll enjoy views of Longs and Pikes Peaks from its third-floor perch.

Fiesta with Cerveceria Colorado
Saturday, 12 - 6 pm
LoDo
Two reasons to party this weekend at Cerveceria Colorado: the brewery turns four and belated Cinco de Mayo (aka siete de Mayo). The fiesta includes entertainment from Colectiva & ArtistiCO Dance, local Latinx vendors, paleta-slinging food trucks, and, of course, craft cerveza.
Cost: Free entry

Sunday, 10 & 11 am
RiNo
Does anything say “Thanks for birthing me, mom” better than downward dogging with adorable baby goats? Maybe, but what if there are also mimosas involved? The Infinite Monkey Theorem winery hosts 50 minutes of goat yoga followed by 30 minutes of goat playtime and mimosa drinking.
Cost: From $49
Boost your mental health—and others’—at this music festival
Saturday, 3 - 8 pm

Shop local at the Spring Horseshoe Market
Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm

One of Denver’s favorite local maker markets is back. The Spring Horseshoe Market brings more than 100 vendors, mobile boutiques, and food trucks to Regis University on Saturday.
