Everything Fun to Do in Denver This Weekend

These are all your local must-hit food and music festivals, events, movies, markets, deals, and concerts to help you make the most of your weekend.

It’s officially fall in Denver, which means corn mazes, chile festivals, Oktoberfest shenanigans, a Full Moon celebration, and… Squid Game? Yes, there’s a little something for everyone this weekend, even those who want to try their luck surviving Squid Game challenges at a new not-quite-VR immersive experience. There’s also a puppy and pancake brunch, an oddly themed skate party, and a fall market. Here’s where to celebrate fall in Denver.

Friday, 5 - 11 pm; Saturday, 11 am - 11 pm; Sunday, 11 am - 6 pm
Ballpark
When Denver is filled with a stein hoisting stage and keg bowling, it can only mean one thing: Oktoberfest is back. The 52nd annual Denver Oktoberfest is one of the best in the country, chock-full of schnitzel, beer, and dirndls, as any self-respecting Oktoberfest should be. Prost!
Cost: Free entry

Friday, 3 pm - 12 am, Saturday, 10 - 12 am, Sunday, 10 am - 6 pm
Pueblo
Hatch who? It’s all about the Pueblo chiles at the 28th annual Chile & Frijoles Festival. Besides the roasting of bushel after bushel of the superior chiles, this fest features live entertainment, street vendors, cooking competitions, a jalapeño eating contest, and last but not least, the chihuahua parade.
Cost: $5 - $6

Friday - Saturday, 11 am - 11 pm, Sunday 11 am - 9 pm
9+Co
Want to play Squid Game? Without, you know, actually dying? Immersive Gamebox just launched Squid Game, an interactive experience that isn’t quite AR or VR but a collaborative experience where you and your friends try to survive six challenges from the Netflix show. Strap on your 3D motion tracking visors and survive.
Cost: From $29.99

Saturday - Sunday, 9 am - 7 pm
Thornton
Is it even fall if you don’t do a corn maze? Maize in the City, built into a 40-acre corn field in Thornton, opens Saturday. If getting lost amid dead stalks of corn isn’t your jam, they also have pick-your-own pumpkins, a corn launcher, quick escape rooms, and more.
Cost: $14 for the corn maze

Head west for the ultimate Oktoberfest

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 11 am - 6 pm
Breckenridge, Colorado
Make a quick trip to the mountains at some point this weekend to experience one of Colorado's most iconic Oktoberfests. The 26th annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest is a three-day Munich-style festival with non-stop musical acts along Breck's historic Main Street. Grab a collectible stein and do as the Germans do, celebrating with plenty of beer, music, brats and stunning views of the Ten Mile Range. Check out the weekend's schedule here.
Cost: Free, food and drink to purchase

Sunday, 1 - 6 pm

Celebrate Asian culture in America in the most delicious possible way: with food from Denver’s best Asian chefs and business owners. Improper City is hosting the Full Moon Festival, with eats from Samosa Shop, Pho King Rapidos, Not Yo Mama’s Cupcakes, and more.

Saturday, 10 am - 3 pm
McGregor Square
We can think of worse ways to start the day than with puppies and pancakes. This adorable dog adoption brunch is taking place on The Original’s patio, where pups from the Animal Rescue of the Rockies will be waiting to win you over. Don’t let them down.
