Hatch who? It’s all about the Pueblo chiles at the 28th annual Chile & Frijoles Festival. Besides the roasting of bushel after bushel of the superior chiles, this fest features live entertainment, street vendors, cooking competitions, a jalapeño eating contest, and last but not least, the chihuahua parade.

Make a quick trip to the mountains at some point this weekend to experience one of Colorado's most iconic Oktoberfests. The 26th annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest is a three-day Munich-style festival with non-stop musical acts along Breck's historic Main Street.
