Denver's Best Local Bars

With spring on the horizon, March Madness is around the corner, so basketball fans are beginning to look for the best places in town to gather and cheer on their favorite college teams. Denver is home to so many sports bars that you may have trouble deciding which one is the best. However, there are a few that rise to the top, thanks to each of them having 20, 30 or even 50 high-definition televisions, full volume and plenty of comfy seating to keep you and all your pals happy during the games. So order a craft beer, a plate of nachos and kick back at your favorite table at any of these great local sports bars.

The Sportsbook Bar & Grill @ DTC

9660 E Arapahoe Rd.; 303-799-1300

Sportsbook is full of activity and the place to be when the game is on! Both locations will open at 10 am, showing all games. Sportsbook features over 35 HD TV’s, happy hour, all you can eat wings and fries on Thursday, plus giveaways! Load up on game-time favorites like The Book’s Famous Totchos, the WTF Burger or Shrimp Tacos — you’ve got everything you need to cheer for your favorite teams! 

The Sportsbook Bar & Grill @ Wash Park

266 S Downing St.; 303-635-6691

It may be a little tough to find, but you’ll definitely want to seek out the Wash Park Sportsbook. It’s literally down the alley behind Starbucks, but you’ll find lots of great reasons to seek out this hidden gem. It has tons of sports channels and over 35 large televisions scattered all over the bar with lots of different specials and even several fun arcade games to keep you busy between games.

Stoney’s Bar & Grill

With more than 30 TVs and lots of drink special, this popular sports bar is large enough to hold all kinds of March Madness. The bar has even posted some NCAA basketball trivia on its blog to gear Denver up for the tournament. The bar’s two 120-inch projection screens will offer up featured games each night.

The Denver Sports Column

The Sports Column features 34 HD TV’s, 5 of those over 90 inch screens! Doors will open at 9 am during March Madness and the outdoor patio will be open as well! Specials include $3.50 domestic drafts and $11 domestic pitchers. 

Blake St. Tavern

2301 Blake St.; 303-675-0505

With 45 HD big screen TVs no game will be left out at Blake Street Tavern which will be opening at 9 am. Starting during the conference games, March Madness specials include Bud, Bud Light and Shocktop! Satruday & Sunday $12 mimosas pitchers and a build-your-own bloody bar.

Chopper’s Sports Grill

80 S. Madison St.; 303-399-4448

This famous Cherry Creek sports bar has over 50 HD TVs from 18 inches up to 52. There are even TVs in the restrooms so not a moment of madness will be missed.
