Denver Upcoming Weekend Events

Tacos and punk rock and a wine fest, oh my! It may seem odd in a town dominated by beer fests (don’t worry, there’s one of those this weekend too), but Vinochromatic debuts this weekend, giving wine lovers and wine lovers-in-training alike a place to merrily sip away a Saturday. And even if that doesn’t appeal to you, the weekend’s got plenty in store including the return of the Sabroso Craft Beer, Taco, and Music Fest featuring The Offspring, a line up of French DJs at Red Rocks, and a Big Lebowski party where you’ll proudly wear your robe in public. Get out there and do The Dude proud.

The RTD Light Rail is officially expanding this weekend with the opening of a new line that connects Union Station with Arvada and Wheat Ridge. If you commute from those areas, you’d got a new excuse to spend more time in Denver, starting off with this party featuring a free BBQ buffet from 4-7pm and live music from Grayson Little Music.

Denver’s pretty pro at beer fests but wine gets a lot less love. This new festival promises to highlight a vast scope of what the modern wine world is doing today in a way that’s perfect for wine pros and newbies alike. Along with all the sipping of whites, reds, and wine’s newest trend: natural wines, you’ll also get to sample eats from some of Denver’s top restaurants like Dio Mio, Milk Market, Kachina, and more. Along with drinking and eating good, you’ll also be doing good as the event benefits Cooking Matters, a local nonprofit that helps families in need with resources to access better, more nutritious food.

Celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day with Puppy Playtime & Brunch

Brunch is already pretty awesome. Day drinking. A plethora of pancakes. More day drinking. But at this brunch, your favorite weekend meal gets an upgrade in the form of puppies. Adorable puppies from the Colorado-based non profit Underdogs Animal Rescue that you can cuddle and play with from 10am-2pm before or after popping into The Nickel for their take on brunch.
Cost: The suggested donation for puppy cuddles is $5; anyone who donates that amount (or more) will get a complimentary mimosa

Take a yoga class then enjoy beer and ramen
