Valentine's Day is here.

Valentine’s is coming up on Sunday, which means you’ve got basically zero excuse for skipping date night this weekend if you’re coupled up. From a beer and chocolate pairing to dinner in a bubble tent or a DIY meal kit to-go, there are plenty of options for culinary adventures with your special someone. Or perhaps you’re going into Valentine’s weekend alone. If your plans are to spend the weekend finding the most comfortable position on your couch to eat pizza in, you should reconsider. Because you could be hitting up a venue for live music, spending some quality time with farm animals (goats, and baby cows, and lambs, oh my!), celebrating Mardi Gras with New Orleans-inspired cocktails, or running a mile in your undies for a good cause. Join thousands of others across the US who’ll be donning their (public-appropriate undies) for a mile-ish run. This year, there’s no official route, so you can head out in your own neighborhood and stay socially distant as you help raise money for neurofibromatosis research.

See live music at a small venue

With the move to level yellow on the COVID dial this past Monday, live music in the city’s more intimate venues is finally set to make a comeback in the Mile High. Capacity will be limited, but shows are on the schedule and tickets are on sale. Kick things off at Globe Hall on Friday where Waxcat is playing both an early and late show. Enjoy a chocolate and beer tasting

How do you one up the traditional box of chocolates? With beer, obviously. Dos Luces has teamed up with Cultura Craft Chocolate to give you and your Valentine’s date the chance to enjoy two of life’s greatest pleasures. You can opt to enjoy this tasting in person at the brewery from 5 - 10 pm or take it home to-go style.
